Being fully connected to another human being is the most incredible experience. It fills you with comfort, love and peace. Being able to open yourself up fully to allow another human being to know you completely is totally freeing, because you know they will not mock, or judge, or condemn, only love. And you wish to open to experience this special form of love and dance the game of life with a best friend and buddy by your side.

What is Connecting?
Buddy SoulMates have a special way of connecting energy and thought, but we must be able to open and connect first. The following exercise will teach you the first step to have this form of connection and allow you to experience connecting as simply and easily as possible. This will enable you to have a clear understanding of the base concept and experience, from which to build upon.
Organize it so you can have 15 minutes totally private and uninterrupted time. Shut your door, tell the family, and take the phone of the hook. Then lie down beside your dog, cat or even young child. Spend a few minutes to get very comfortable and relax your body, take some slow deep breaths and let yourself feel very quiet and peaceful, let go of all your daily thoughts and focus completely on this life form lying beside you. Feel!
Being relaxed and in your own space away from the stress of daily life is essential for this exercise. Use your hands to softly stroke and caress its head, body. Slow your breathing down and relax even further. Watch this beings reaction to your attention, how they look at you, showing pleasure, giving you their full attention. Reciprocate.
Spend 15 full minutes participating in this tactile form of communication, whereby the rest of the world vanishes from all your thoughts and feelings. Notice how you feel, the warmth in your chest, a smile, love energy. Be very aware of all responses given to you.
Did you feel a bonding, a closeness? Connected to this beautiful life form? Did you notice things about them, not seen before? What about yourself, did you feel your own energy and relaxation mode, and how you seemed to join with them totally?
That my friend is connecting. Pure and simple. It sparks a life force energy within us, which grows each time we connect. Notice how you feel for the rest of this day, your mood, attitude, enjoyment and achievements.
Activity – Practice
Do this exercise every day for a week to build your skill. By practicing this exercise, you will be able to quiet your mind and relax your body at will, a great stress reliever.
And the more you practice opening to another living being, like your pet, the easier it will be to open and connect with people, then your Soul Mate.
